The corpuls cpr is a unique mechanical chest compression device used by the emergency medical services and hospitals. The rotating arm grants free access to the patient’s thorax at all times with no limits for patients with a larger body mass (it is also approved for use on children from the age of 8) . The arm itself is mounted to one side, but the swivel function allows the range of movement to accurately position the device to give uninterrupted chest compressions.

Revolutionary Design

With two joints and a height adjustable arm the corpuls cpr can be quickly adapted to the patient‘s body. It guarantees the optimal pressure point during therapy. Compression depth and mode can be easily adjusted. This design allows the quick switch from manual to automated chest compressions in a matter of seconds.

The intuitive user interface features a therapy start/stop button with alarm and 4 soft-keys. The alarm will sound and flash red if the arm is not placed at the correct depth to give the patient accurate chest compressions.

User-Friendly Operation

The corpuls cpr comes with clearly visible colour display and an easy to access control panel buttons.

Resuscitation algorithms are set to fully comply with ERC/AHA guidelines.

The compression depth and/or rate can be manually adjusted when needed.

Pressure frequency: 80 to 120 compressions/min (individually adjustable in increments of 1 compression/min).

Pressure depth: 2 to 6 cm (individually adjustable in increments of 0.1 cm).

Energy Management

The corpuls cpr can be operated with a battery as well as via mains connector. The long running time of the battery (typical: 90 min.) guarantees optimal operational readiness. The display shows the remaining running time in minutes.

The battery can be exchanged quickly and easily during therapy. When the battery is removed from the device, the operation parameters are retained for 30 seconds. Once the replacement battery is slotted into place the compressions continue with the same therapy sequence.

When using the device in a rescue vehicle, the power can also be supplied via the magnetic clip directly from the on-board power supply.

Reusable Compression pads

The compression pads come in two sizes and can be disinfected with all common agents. This helps to keep running costs to a minimum and ensures the corpuls cpr can be deployed on every CPR job without financial worries in the back of operators’ head.

Back Boards

Back Boards for all scenarios

All of the back boards are radiolucent, and made from robust, lightweight carbon fibre. The boards are easy to clean and disinfect after use, and store away neatly in the bag pack. For optimal effectiveness in all areas of rescue and resuscitation, three different boards are available…

Recboard

The radiotranslucent recboard was developed for pre-hospital treatment. With the specially developed attachment straps, it can be fixed onto any standard stretcher system. Thanks to the symmetrical shape, the recboard provides absolute flexibility when positioning the arm. The cpr arm can be placed across the shoulders or on the side of the patient.

Quadboard

The quadboard was designed for in-hospital use. It is radiotranslucent, easy to disinfect and quickly placed beneath the patient with the handle.

Scoopboard

Specially designed for use with a scoop stretcher or vacuum mattress. Just like the recboard and the quadboard, the scoopboard is made of a radiotranslucent carbon fibre compound material. The scoopboard has the same multifunctional securing straps as the recboard.

The corpuls cpr provides fully automatic, fatigue-proof thorax compression, ensuring less strain on first responders in an emergency scenario. Fast and secure adjustment allows fast switching to thorax compression by machine.

During prolonged CPR, the device can continue with consistent chest compressions during transportation to give the medical crew the time to diagnose and treat the underlying cause.

Using the corpuls cpr during a resuscitation does not only assure perfectly accurate chest compressions, it also protects your crews from the risks associated with performing CPR in a moving vehicle.

It’s unique design allows the users to deploy the corpuls cpr without compromise and missing compressions as per ERC/AHA guideline algorithms.

The corpuls cpr checks its position of the compression pad after each ventilation break or 100 compressions (in continuous mode) to compensate any impact CPR has on the patient’s thorax.

Air Rescue

Almost every primary mission in air rescue makes extremely high demands on the team and equipment. The patient often is in a critical condition, the space conditions are confined and time is of the essence. Transporting the patient and continuing a high-quality manual CPR seems almost impossible in these conditions. Here, the corpuls cpr enables fully automated thorax compressions and life-saving therapy also during transport.

In emergency situations, especially in challenging environments; every minute counts.

An efficient therapy is therefore decisive. By supplying fully automated chest compressions, the corpuls cpr ensures less strain on the rescue service personnel and allows precise and continuous therapy, even in the most difficult conditions. After the stamp is positioned, there is more time for important procedures such as airway management or administering drugs.

The stretcher back board ensures that therapy can continue during patient transport.

In Hospital

No Compromise In The Hospital

The corpuls cpr is designed so it can be deployed within seconds during difficult cardiac procedures in theatres while it is set up on standby. There is no limitation with regards to accessing the patient’s thorax due to the devices rotating arm. All compression boards available are made of radiolucent material to ensure the use of radiology equipment is not compromised at any time.

The Right Arm in the Cath Lab

In the Cath Lab, complications can arise during the treatment of patients, which sometimes require resuscitation measures. The sterile environment and limited personnel are not ideal for resuscitation with manual chest compressions. Therefore a mechanical chest compression device is preferred.

Some diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays or computed tomography scans, sometimes have to take place under continued resuscitation. The radiation exposure that occurs during such procedures is a risk for medical staff that should not be underestimated. The corpuls cpr makes it possible to carry out such procedures in compliance with occupational safety.

The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) specifically recommends using mechanical chest compression devices, such as the corpuls cpr, during angiography under resuscitation.

In the cardiac catheter lab, the artefact-free view on the coronary vessels is of decisive importance.

The corpuls cpr compression pad only gives a minimal shadow, otherwise there is an unimpeded view on the coronary vessels.

The Quad Board has been specifically designed for in-hospital use. This low profile board can be deployed at any time and will still be comfortable for the patient to lay on.
All compression boards available are made of radiolucent carbon fibre material to ensure the use of radiology equipment is not compromised at any time. The parts of the corpuls cpr arm, which for technical reasons cannot be radiolucent, are made as narrow as possible. This allows the cath lab team to adjust the ray path to the ideal position for a clear view of the heart and the blood vessels.

Intelligent control with corpuls3

The synchronisation makes the corpuls cpr the fourth module of the corpuls3.

Once connected to each other, it is no longer necessary to operate the corpuls cpr during a resuscitation. The corpuls cpr is completely automatically controlled by the corpuls3, regardless of whether it is in AED or manual mode. All therapy parameters of the corpuls cpr are displayed on the monitor of the corpuls3.

If you want to change the settings manually or stop or start the corpuls cpr, this is also possible.
